All it takes is hearing the name Valentino and visions of elegant red-carpet affairs fill one’s mind. Unlike fashion designers who create their brands using their last names, Valentino Garavani created his iconic Valentino brand using his first name. Educated through his studies at Milan’s Accademia dell Arte, Valentino opened his first salon in 1960, where he debuted the famous Italian collection that launched his career. Most famous for his beautiful gowns, Valentino gained tremendous respect and popularity among some of the world’s most famous celebrities.
