Escada

Escada

When Wolfgang Ley and his wife Margaretha placed a bet on a horse named Escada (the Portuguese word for “staircase”), it marked the beginning of the designers’ famous Escada fashion house. Launched in 1976, the company gained prestigious notoriety when Vogue ran a feature spread on the company’s clothing line. Escada is well known for their elegant perfumes and colognes.

With a line of successful Escada perfumes for women in place, the company added their first men’s fragrance, Escada Pour Homme, in 1993. Since then, a number of other Escada perfumes and colognes have been added to the collection.
